Producer FAQ
BeatTaste is a curated discovery platform — we find the best type beats from across the internet and present them to artists in one clean place. Producers do not have accounts, upload tools, or dashboards here. Everything is managed by our editorial team. This page explains how we work and what options you have as a producer.
How It Works
The basics of the BeatTaste platform and how it fits into the music ecosystem.
BeatTaste is a beat discovery platform for artists. We research the internet — YouTube, BeatStars, Airbit, SoundCloud, and other marketplaces — find the best type beats, and present them inside one curated catalog.
Artists browse our catalog, find beats they like, and get redirected to your marketplace page where they can license directly from you. BeatTaste never charges artists, never holds payments, and is never part of any licensing transaction.
Who Curates the Catalog?
Every decision about what goes in — and what stays out — belongs to the BeatTaste team.
Submit Your Beats
Want your beats featured on BeatTaste? Here's how to get on our radar.
Click the "Submit Your Beats" button in the footer of any page on BeatTaste. A form will open asking for:
- Your producer / artist name
- A link to your marketplace profile (BeatStars, Airbit, Traktrain, etc.)
- An optional message about yourself, your style, or notable releases
Our team reviews all submissions and explores your catalog. If your music fits the BeatTaste standard, we'll start adding your beats to the platform.
Quality Standards
What we look for — and what keeps beats out of the catalog.
We evaluate every beat against a consistent editorial standard. Generally, we look for:
- Sound quality — professional mixing, clean low end, proper loudness
- Production value — well-arranged, intentional, not overcrowded
- Genre authenticity — sounds like a real type beat for the artist it references
- Marketplace availability — an active listing where artists can actually license the beat
Remove My Beat
Don't want your beat on BeatTaste? You have options.
Click the "Report Sound" button available on every beat card in the catalog. Select the reason that applies to you (e.g., "I'm the producer and I want this removed") and submit your report.
Our moderation team reviews all reports and removes beats that are confirmed as valid takedown requests from the rights holder. Most reports are processed within a few business days.
Can I Pay to Get In?
Short answer: no. Here's why that matters.
Licensing & Rights
Your beats, your rights. Always.
No. BeatTaste claims zero ownership, licensing rights, or royalty interest in any beat featured on the platform. All beats remain the exclusive intellectual property of their respective producers and rights holders, exactly as they were before appearing on BeatTaste.
We are a discovery layer, not a rights holder.
