Producer FAQ

Last updated: May 13, 2026For Beat Makers

BeatTaste is a curated discovery platform — we find the best type beats from across the internet and present them to artists in one clean place. Producers do not have accounts, upload tools, or dashboards here. Everything is managed by our editorial team. This page explains how we work and what options you have as a producer.

Section 01

How It Works

The basics of the BeatTaste platform and how it fits into the music ecosystem.

What exactly is BeatTaste?

BeatTaste is a beat discovery platform for artists. We research the internet — YouTube, BeatStars, Airbit, SoundCloud, and other marketplaces — find the best type beats, and present them inside one curated catalog.

Artists browse our catalog, find beats they like, and get redirected to your marketplace page where they can license directly from you. BeatTaste never charges artists, never holds payments, and is never part of any licensing transaction.

Section 02

Who Curates the Catalog?

Every decision about what goes in — and what stays out — belongs to the BeatTaste team.

Submit Your Beats

Want your beats featured on BeatTaste? Here's how to get on our radar.

How do I submit my beats for consideration?

Click the "Submit Your Beats" button in the footer of any page on BeatTaste. A form will open asking for:

  • Your producer / artist name
  • A link to your marketplace profile (BeatStars, Airbit, Traktrain, etc.)
  • An optional message about yourself, your style, or notable releases

Our team reviews all submissions and explores your catalog. If your music fits the BeatTaste standard, we'll start adding your beats to the platform.

Will I receive a reply after submitting?
How long does the review take?
Which marketplaces do you accept links from?
To submit, scroll to the bottom of any page and click "Submit Your Beats" in the Creators section of the footer.
Section 04

Quality Standards

What we look for — and what keeps beats out of the catalog.

What qualifies a beat for the BeatTaste catalog?

We evaluate every beat against a consistent editorial standard. Generally, we look for:

  • Sound quality — professional mixing, clean low end, proper loudness
  • Production value — well-arranged, intentional, not overcrowded
  • Genre authenticity — sounds like a real type beat for the artist it references
  • Marketplace availability — an active listing where artists can actually license the beat
What will disqualify a beat from being added?
My beats are good — why was my submission not accepted?
Section 05

Remove My Beat

Don't want your beat on BeatTaste? You have options.

How do I get my beat removed from the catalog?

Click the "Report Sound" button available on every beat card in the catalog. Select the reason that applies to you (e.g., "I'm the producer and I want this removed") and submit your report.

Our moderation team reviews all reports and removes beats that are confirmed as valid takedown requests from the rights holder. Most reports are processed within a few business days.

Section 06

Can I Pay to Get In?

Short answer: no. Here's why that matters.

BeatTaste does not offer paid placements, sponsored slots, promoted listings, or any pay-to-feature arrangement. Every beat in the catalog earned its spot on sound quality alone. This is non-negotiable and will never change — it's the foundation of what makes BeatTaste trustworthy for artists.
Why no paid placements?
Is there any way to increase my chances?
Section 07

Licensing & Rights

Your beats, your rights. Always.

Does BeatTaste claim any rights to featured beats?

No. BeatTaste claims zero ownership, licensing rights, or royalty interest in any beat featured on the platform. All beats remain the exclusive intellectual property of their respective producers and rights holders, exactly as they were before appearing on BeatTaste.

We are a discovery layer, not a rights holder.

Who handles licensing when an artist wants to use a beat?
Can BeatTaste use my beats for marketing or promotional content?
I sold my beat exclusively. Can it be removed from BeatTaste?
